Aeroclub & Pilot Facilities

What the West Auckland Airport can provide.

The airport has a pilot lounge available, able to host up to 20 people with kitchen, toilets, shower and flight planning room.

The airport courtesy car is available for visiting aviators, please contact us to book.

The historic Hinemoa Hall is available for up to 60 people for groups that are too large for the pilot lounge to handle.

Club Fly-Ins, Aviation Events and General Use: 

The airport is happy to assist aviation clubs or other non aviation groups wanting a venue to hold events at the airport.

The airport has various levels of facility and buildings available depending on the type of event. 

For aviation events, the organising club can negotiate a bulk rate for landing fees or if they prefer the airport will collect them at the usual rates.

What is provided:

Kitchen with tea and coffee, lounge, toilets, shower, flight planning room. Wrap around deck perfect for barbeques (weather permitting).

Historic Hinemoa Hall
A piece of local history

 

This historic hall was once the Billiard Hall at Hinemoa Boarding House in Parakai until the house burned down in 1977. The hall was fire damaged but survived and still bears the scars. It was relocated to the airport in the 1980s.

Fly in and then use our courtesy car to drive into nearby Parakai and Helensville.

Parking
For planes and cars

 

Plenty of space to park planes on the concrete apron year round and on the grass areas in the summer. Loads of parking available on site for cars too.
